In a story that looks like a Hollywood horror flick – an actress was kidnapped by two of her co-stars and later murdered when her family failed to pay the huge ransom.
According to police, Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar was lured to a town called Gorakhpur on March 14 by her “Heroine” co-stars Amit Jaiswaland his lover Preeti Surin telling her that she had been cast in a new film.
Amit Jaiswaland and Preeti Surin who believed that Meenakshi Thapar was wealthy kidnapped her and demanded a ransom of 1,500,000 rupees (approximately $28,000).
As it turned out the actress came from a poor family who could only pay 60,000 rupees (about $1,000).
The kidnappers were unhappy with the amount given to them and decided to behead the struggling star.
The “404” actress’ body was discovered in a water tank and police are still searching for her head.
