It appears that every female in America is in love with “American Idol” contestant Phillip Phillips – including host Ryan Seacrest’s girlfriend, Julianne Hough.
On Wednesday’s episode of American Idol, Seacrest who was terribly sick made the mistake of inviting Hough backstage as he pursued with his hosting duties – because he rapidly learned that she had a crush on Phillip Phillips.
While Phillip Phillips was performing Dave Matthews Band’s “The Stone,” the cameras turned to the actress who was blushing like a little girl. When Seacrest returned to the stage, he shared with the audience that his lady was falling for Phillips and added:
“We were backstage and you ran past my girlfriend and she sighed and blushed.I think I heard her say ‘Yummy.'”
While it is unclear if he was joking or not, he later added that he will have to talk to his partner about her reaction to the 21-year-old singer’s performance.
The Georgia native explained after the show that he has no intention of stealing Ryan’s girl but was thrilled by the attention that he received from Julianne.
